Fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fan is a conventional ventilation and air‑conditioning component mainly made of galvanized sheet metal by gear‑engaging fabrication. It features convenient on‑site production and flexible design adaptability. With the development of new technologies, its production has evolved from manual processing to fully mechanical manufacturing.
Below are the production, installation and application specifications for hot‑dip galvanized fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fans:
For roof thermal insulation of fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fans, polyethylene foam boards shall be adopted, with a relative density of 40 kg/m³ and thickness of 35 mm (ambient temperature not lower than 5℃). Elbow connectors shall adopt ladder‑shaped or tenon‑and‑mortise structures coated with epoxy resin. The outer layer shall be wrapped with aluminum foil cloth and bonded tightly by thermistor adhesive to prevent surface condensation of the fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fan.
Fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fans shall be installed vertically. The verticality tolerance for main fans shall be ≤1.5 mm/m, and ≤1 mm/m for general units. The fan outlet shall be connected with insulated plastic flexible hoses.
For square fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fans with perimeter ≥63 m, or insulated fans with perimeter ≥80 m, fixing measures shall be adopted when pipe section length exceeds 1.2 m.
Surfaces of fire‑fighting smoke exhaust fans and pipes shall be flat with uniform inclination. Vertical seams shall be separated. Gear‑engaged joints shall be tightly closed with consistent overall width. Welded surfaces shall be inspected; blowholes, sand holes, welding beads and cracks are not allowed. Deformation after thick‑plate welding shall be corrected.
